Ruby on Rails application built around the tontine, a collective savings practice where members contribute in turns. Group creation and administration, link-based invitations, per-cycle contributions, distribution schedule and beneficiary tracking, payments modelled for local mobile money operators. Third-year tutored project, built as a team of three.
The problem
A tontine relies on trust and on a notebook kept by one organiser: who has paid, who already received the pot, who is late. The goal was to make that tracking transparent to every member.
My role
Degree tutored project as a team of three: data model, authentication and the business rules of cycles and distributions.

Technical decisions
- The cycle is the core unit: contributions, distributions and beneficiary eligibility are computed per cycle.
- Time-limited invitation links rather than open sign-up, to keep groups closed.
Outcome
Project defended and code public on GitHub.
